Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment celebrates the 15th annual Cigar Box Guitar Festival June 2-3, 2018. This two-day event takes place on the grounds of the historic Lowe Mill in Huntsville, Alabama and features live music and makers from across the region. All of this celebrates the Cigar Box Guitar folk culture. Both days will be filled with music, engaging demonstrations and hands-on workshops, folk art, regional merchants, food trucks and more.
Venues within Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment include Tangled String Studios and Magic Music Mill (Studio 106). Tour the entire campus, browse and meet makers and musicians from across the Southeast all while enjoying local eats and live music.
The event is kid and pet-friendly and free with a suggested $5 parking donation
In addition to all the Cigar Box Guitar makers and vendors, the two-day festival will feature a juried Art Market showcasing an array of local and regional artists. When the festival first started in 2004, the artist market was integral part of the event. This year, it's back and it's going to be even bigger than before.
Festival goers will enjoy shopping artwork from a talented array of artists in a variety of mediums including painting, pottery, jewelry, fiber and more. From folk to fine, there's something for every taste and budget.
The Art Market will be open 5pm to 9pm on Friday night and from noon to 7pm on Saturday.
