He was indicted on four charges, including aggravated burglary, kidnapping, abduction and gross sexual imposition.

Dhimal's defense attorney said his client can read and write the Nepali language but not English, leading to an interpreter being present at some court hearings.

Prosecutors said just days before the incident, Dhimal was in a mental health facility.

Three days before his recent arrest, Monroe police officers were called to another home in the city for a suspicious person, who they later identified as Dhimal. The woman who called police said he was "standing on a neighbor's porch for 15 minutes," according to an incident report.

WLWT looked deeper into Dhimal's criminal history and found he had at least 14 interactions with police in Butler County since 2021.

In January of that year, records show he told a store employee at a local grocery store he was "going to blow her up" because he thought the price of a cigar was too high. He was then cited for criminal trespassing when he returned to the store several weeks later.

A few months later, reports state that he was caught "looking into vehicle windows" and "was on a resident's back porch."

When Monroe police arrived, he reportedly told them he was a "U.N. leader."

He got into it with police, but charges of assault, resisting arrest and obstructing official business were dropped because he was found incompetent to stand trial.

Records show Dhimal also had two previous charges of sexual imposition dismissed. One was dismissed last month.
