It's not often Charles Darwin, War Hammer and the Tour de France get mentioned in the same breath - but they were just some of the topics covered by Lanarkshire Philatelic Society members during their latest get-together.

There was a "wonderfully varied collection of stamps, miniature sheets, covers, postmarks, postcards and posters" to view during the group's final meeting of session.

Members were asked to present a "one-board display - or pay £1" and responded magnificently as only £3 was paid.
