TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The Border Patrol says agents took several undocumented migrants into custody during an immigration inspection.

The CBP says it happened April 7 near Bowie.

The CBP says Willcox agents tried to stop an SUV for an immigration inspection.

The vehicle initially stopped but then tried to get away as agents exited their vehicles.

CBP says the vehicle pulled to the side of Interstate-10 a short distance later and several people exited the vehicle.

Agents arrested two undocumented migrants at the vehicle.

An additional four were captured after running from the vehicle.

CBP agents seized the vehicle and plan to pursue charges against the individuals for illegal presence in the U.S.

Two of the migrants will face additional re-entry charges.

CBP says this incident remains under investigation and Tucson Sector will continue to collaborate with the U.S. Attorney’s Office to pursue all applicable criminal charges.
