A FREE digital tool to help people plan for pregnancy has been launched.
The #AreYouReady campaign is raising awareness of the resource, which is the result of a collaboration between national baby charity Tommy's and NHS maternity staff across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
The Planning for Pregnancy tool aims to inform women and birthing people about the importance of making health-related behaviour changes before conception.
Other recommendations include having a daily vitamin D tablet, quitting smoking, avoiding alcohol, as well as eating healthily and exercising.
Dr Louise Bramble, chair of Herefordshire and Worcestershire Local Maternity and Neonatal System, said: "Having a baby is a huge life change, and planning your pregnancy can help you feel ready to cope with those changes.
"As well as practical things like finances, where you live, and your support network, there are several key steps that can be taken before conception to improve fertility, pregnancy health, and the baby’s future health."
